Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I have an item to ship that is boxed up, taped, and has a pre-paid label. What do I do with it?

A: Bring it to Holden's Computers. Car Quest or Kopy Kat in Granby will also accept your READY-TO-GO packages. Packages are picked up daily, typically around 3pm.

Q: I need to ship something and don't have a label.

A: Take it to Kopy Kat in Granby. They offer full-service shipping. Your local post office also provides shipping materials and shipping services. We do not sell shipping materials.

Q: What do I do with this Amazon QR code?

A: We can't scan QR codes. You can either take it to THE UPS STORE in Evergreen, or you can cancel your Amazon return, start the return again, and choose "UPS Drop-Off Points" as a return method. Check out our guide here for an example on how to create a UPS label for your Amazon return.

Q: What do I do with this Xfinity QR code?

A: We can't scan QR codes. We're aware that Xfinity is telling their customers that we can package up and ship their equipment back. This is incorrect. You can start an equipment return by visiting Xfinity's Equipment Return page. Once you select the equipment and the return reason, you'll have an option for a UPS Pre-Paid Label on the upper right side of the page. Print it out, box it up, put the label on it, bring it in, and we'll ship it.

Q: Can you print an already-generated label?

A: Yes, you can email it to support@holdenscomputers.com, but we charge $5 to print off each label. You can also go to Fraser Library and print it off for 25 cents.

Q: Do you accept Fed-Ex drop-off?

A: Nope. You can take it to Safeway in Fraser, as well as Kopy Kat or Dollar General in Granby.

Q: Where is my package?

A: Call UPS at 1-800-742-5877 or go to UPS's website and enter your tracking number. If you have a "missed delivery" note on your door, usually UPS will take the package back to the Silverthorne facility, and then bring it to us the next business day. That's the same information that we have available. And no, we do not have a number to contact the Silverthorne facility

Q: Can I ship something to your store?

A: Yes, but it has to be coming from UPS. IMPORTANT: If it comes through any other courier, we will automatically reject it without notice. We will not hold it, so please don't call and ask. You are solely responsible for ensuring that it ships through UPS. Also, we only hold a UPS shipment for pickup for 7 days. Make sure you put the person's name on it that is picking it up (because we ID).

Q: Do you fax stuff?

A: No, but you can go to the Fraser Library and they can fax stuff for you. They charge $5/fax.

Q: I have a complaint! / Why don't you do X/Y/Z here?

A: We're happy to get you in touch with UPS so that you can open your own shipping place!
